Genderless group XLOV have returned with their third mini album i=!, released on October 28, 2026.

i=!, also referred to as i equals i, was first announced on September 28. XLOV’s social media accounts were taken over by a new dark red colour theme and a logo representing this third chapter, based on the Chinese character for love “愛”, was also revealed. Throughout the following month, various promotional materials were steadily unveiled, including a highlight medley, music video teaser, and several sets of concept photos.

Each set of concept photos presented a different theme. Two hold a softer aesthetic, the first positioned in a bedroom and tinted with a bright shine and the second captured outdoors with the four members in bohemian clothing. The other two of the four shift towards a distinct East Asian theme, placing XLOV in front of traditional artwork, wearing jewelled versions of traditional clothing, and for RUI, covered in Chinese calligraphy. As the comeback has developed, and upon its release today, the latter has become the primary concept that leads i=!.

The mini album is XLOV’s first to contain two title tracks, a choice that is slowly becoming a pattern within the industry. “Hush” and “Tooth Gem Chiwawa” lead the tracklist, with “Hush” receiving a music video upon the album’s release that furthers the East Asia-inspired visuals. Set in various rooms and the courtyard of a temple, it sees the members posing and dancing in both the black outfits used in the concept photos and in others which are decorative, sequined versions of traditional clothing items. As the lyrics tell a story of desire and wicked obsession, the members’ movement quicken in time with the song, which builds using traditional Chinese Bayin instruments.

The remainder of i=! presents three new B-sides: “Cat Move,” “All Tied Up (Rui & Haru),” and “Silence (Wumuti & Hyun).” Together, they offer a variety of genres, from electronic pop to dreamy hyperpop to R&B, while also establishing new unit pairings that differ from those of the group’s previous album I, God.

I, God, upon its release in May 2026, saw XLOV’s highest sales figures yet. Over 30,000 first-day sales, and 224,000 first-week sales, it overtook figures from both their viral single albums I’mma Beand I ONE and their first mini album UXLXVE. They will be hoping to push this upward trajectory further, closing out a very successful year.

As XLOV’s third mini album, i=! adds to a very distinct discography that is defined by pure expression. Expression of genderlessness, of love and desire, and of confidence. These have become XLOV’s signature, and by taking forward the group’s unique styling and incorporating this traditional twist, they have once again come out with an album that could only ever be released by XLOV.
