P1Harmony Close Their Hero Saga With 10th Mini Album ‘BLOW UP’
by Hasan Beyaz

P1Harmony have returned with their 10th mini album, ‘BLOW UP,’ bringing their long-running superhero storyline to a close while opening the door to a new chapter for the six-member group.
Led by the title track of the same name, the six-track release sees Keeho, Theo, Jiung, Intak, Soul and Jongseob embrace a more experimental sound, with “BLOW UP” diving into hyperpop and drawing inspiration from the original aesthetics of the PC Music scene. Glitchy synthesizers and high-energy percussion collide to create an explosive, freewheeling production that reflects the song’s central message of breaking through limitations and moving forward on their own terms.
Co-written by Intak and Jongseob, “BLOW UP” captures the thrill of seizing the moment and taking control of one's own direction. Its lyrics see the members position themselves as the spark behind their next transformation, declaring, “I’m so blessed, going up going up” and “Do what I want, give a what.”

The accompanying music video brings P1Harmony's superhero universe to its conclusion, revisiting the superhuman abilities first introduced in their debut science-fiction film, ‘P1H: The Beginning of a New World’. Longtime fans will recognise references to each member's powers: Keeho's ability to manipulate space and time, Theo's marksmanship, Jiung's telekinesis, Intak's cellular regeneration, Soul's universal communication and Jongseob's omnifabrication.
True to the group's visual identity, the video balances action with humour and playful creativity. From a rain-soaked dance sequence to the final scenes of the sextet performing on the moon, P1Harmony approach their final mission with the same cheerful, unconventional spirit that has defined their fictional heroes. The video ends with the song's final note sending the members zapping away, leaving only their clothes floating in space. With their mission complete, the group leave their established universe behind and set their sights on a wider world.
The choreography similarly translates the track's shifting rhythms and energy into movement, alternating between detailed, beat-driven sequences and faster-paced formations that give the impression of the members racing across the sky. Individual moments also spotlight each member's personality and performance style, reinforcing the free-spirited character of the track.

Beyond the title track, ‘BLOW UP’ features five additional songs that explore a range of genres. “element” combines a distinctive flute melody, playful vocal effects and cheerful chanting to explore confidence without arrogance, while “How To” revisits the nostalgic sound of early-2010s R&B-pop through a dance track about finding the strength to overcome hardship. “MOMENTUM” introduces an Afro-house influence, pairing taut percussion with sensual vocals to capture the instinctive attraction between two people.
Elsewhere, “t.o.t.y.” takes a more introspective approach, layering R&B-inspired harmonies over restrained avant-pop production to explore the uncertainty of being caught between youth and adulthood. Closing the album, “Talk That” returns to hyperpop's more experimental territory, using pitched-up vocals and playful production to deliver a message about ignoring outside noise and finding one's own pace.
The members maintain their substantial creative involvement throughout the project. Intak and Jongseob co-wrote the lyrics for all six tracks, while Keeho contributed to “element” and collaborated on both the writing and composition of “MOMENTUM.”
P1Harmony first previewed their comeback during their headlining performance on the opening day of the inaugural 82WORLD LA festival in Los Angeles, marking their first headlining slot at a US festival following previous appearances at Governors Ball and KCON. Ahead of the album's release, they also performed “BLOW UP” and “MOMENTUM” for the first time at a November 4 fan showcase at Seoul's Yonsei University. Styled as a ‘HERO SOCIETY INFO SESSION,’ the event saw the members take on the roles of senior heroes recruiting a new generation of vigilantes.
The release arrives eight months after P1Harmony's previous mini album, ‘UNIQUE,’ which debuted at No. 4 on the Billboard 200 with 58,000 first-week units, marking the group's highest-charting album to date and their sixth entry on the chart.
With ‘BLOW UP,’ P1Harmony bring one of the defining narratives of their career to a close. However, the group's latest release is less a farewell than a declaration of what comes next: a new chapter for six artists continuing to expand their musical and creative boundaries.
