EVAN has released his first mini album, DEATH OF ME, out now via BELIFT LAB, following his solo debut single "Ride or Die" in June.

The eight-track record extends the sonic ground EVAN staked out with that debut, moving between guitar-driven alternative rock and softer, textured pop. He led production and creative direction across all eight songs, a level of authorial control that's rare for a debut-year solo act.

The title track "Death of Me" is a Pop R&B cut co-written by EVAN, built around a refusal to be derailed: "Ain't the death of me," he declares, framing the song as a statement of resolve at what the release calls a new beginning. The accompanying music video puts EVAN back on a stage, built around the concept of "LIVE," playing on the double meaning of performing and staying alive.

Tracklist-wise, the album opens hard: "Not Enough" (Pop), "Noise" (Pop R&B) and "Ride or Die" (Alternative Rock) – the last of these his original debut single, now folded into a longer body of work rather than standing alone. From there the record shifts tone, moving through "Twilight" (Pop), "Immature" (Alternative Rock), "Overflow" (Indie Pop) and closing on "Going Home," a Dream Pop track that settles into something quieter and more reflective.

That arc, from assertive opener to contemplative close, is the album's argument. Debut EPs from newly solo idols tend to play it safe, leaning on a couple of styles to establish a lane. EVAN's mini album does the opposite: it stretches across four or five distinct genres and still holds together, largely because he's the constant across production and direction.

DEATH OF ME also matters structurally for BELIFT LAB. The label, under HYBE, built its identity on group acts – ENHYPEN and ILLIT. EVAN is its first solo signing, debuting in June 2026, and how his sound develops from here will say something about whether BELIFT intends to build out individual artistry alongside its group rosters, or whether this remains a one-off.
