Sony Music Korea and Sony Music Japan to Debut New K-Pop Boy Group KJRGL in September

Sony Music Korea and Sony Music Japan have collaborated to launch a new K-pop boy group named KJRGL, composed of three Korean members and three Japanese members. The group is set to make its highly anticipated debut in September with their full album, Overture ~ The Blue Wave.

The name KJRGL is an acronym for the phrase “Kind of Just Right Good Luck.” It also creatively merges the Japanese word Kujira with the Korean word Golae, both meaning “whale.”

The group consists of six members: Akira, Kouki, Dien, Saeron, Riku, and Isaac. Several of the members have already garnered attention by participating in trainee competition shows—Dien and Riku appeared on Boys’ Planet, Akira competed on Tora Project, and Kouki was featured on Produce 101 Japan.

KJRGL will release a pre-debut single titled “Prologue ~ the Deepest Blue” on September 4, followed by their official debut on September 18, 2024, with the album Overture ~ The Blue Wave. Fans are eagerly awaiting the group's entry into the K-pop scene.
