PSY Cancels Seoul Concert Due to Severe Weather, Prioritizes Audience Safety

On July 20 KST, PSY's highly anticipated 2024 Summer Swag tour performance at Seoul Grand Park in Gwacheon was abruptly cut short due to heavy rain and gusty winds. The severe weather conditions, which included lightning and a windstorm that shook the stage equipment, led the organizers to cancel the concert after just one hour, prioritizing the safety of the audience and staff.
Following the cancellation, PSY took to Instagram to express his regret and gratitude. He emphasized the unpredictability of the weather and the necessity of prioritizing safety. Psy thanked the audience for their calm response, and extended his gratitude to his staff and local authorities for their efforts in ensuring everyone’s safe return home.

PSY acknowledged the disappointment felt by the attendees who traveled from afar with high expectations but reiterated that their safety was paramount. He also mentioned that he was heartbroken to see everyone leave but appreciated their understanding.
As of now, PSY is considering whether the Gwacheon concert will be rescheduled. In the meantime, refunds have been made available to all attendees, and those wishing to attend the rescheduled concert will have the opportunity to secure a spot.
