Fans were not surprised by Jay being cast by SM Entertainment given his stunning visuals.

During a recent appearance on the YouTube show 'NOPOGY' alongside fellow ENHYPEN member Jungwon, Jay revealed an unexpected chapter from his pre-debut journey: he was once scouted by a casting agent from SM Entertainment.

Reflecting on the moment, Jay explained, "I was approached by SM Entertainment, the same agency as Jungwoo’s. But at that time, I didn’t have a clear passion for anything." He further shared, "Eventually, I realized I wanted to dedicate myself to something, and my parents supported me in that decision. After leaving SM, I joined a dance academy where I practiced intensively for several months to hone my skills."

Fans weren’t shocked to hear about Jay’s brief connection with SM Entertainment, as his striking visuals and undeniable talent have always stood out.
