Dating rumors surrounding aespa's Winter and ENHYPEN's Jungwon sparked widespread attention after a post on December 11 claimed the two were seen together. The post, shared on the popular Korean forum Pann Nate, alleged that the idols met at a bar in Cheongdam-dong and shared photos as supposed evidence.

The forum post titled “aespa’s Winter and ENHYPEN’s Jungwon spotted dating” claimed Winter was wearing the same outfit she had on in a recent challenge video. The author also noted, “Winter got into a taxi first, followed by Jungwon,” hinting at a secretive meeting. A short clip of a masked man on the phone was also uploaded, with netizens speculating the voice might belong to Jungwon.

 

Reactions among netizens have been divided. Some entertained the possibility of the relationship, commenting, “They would make an adorable couple,” and “Winter and Jungwon dating? Really?” Others dismissed the claims, noting, “This is just baseless gossip,” and “Another case of idols being caught up in fabricated rumors.”

As the discussion gained traction, both Belift Lab and SM Entertainment promptly issued statements denying the allegations.

Belift Lab, ENHYPEN’s agency, initially stated they were looking into the claims but later clarified that the rumors were false. The agency announced plans to take strong legal action against those spreading baseless rumors and invading their artist’s privacy.

Similarly, SM Entertainment, representing aespa, refuted the accusations, describing the rumors as “entirely groundless.” The company revealed that the individual behind the photos attempted to sell them to a media outlet for financial gain, which the outlet refused. Following this rejection, the person allegedly spread the photos online out of malice. SM Entertainment confirmed they would pursue legal action against this behavior.

While the original post has been deleted, the controversy has left fans and the general public debating the pressures idols face in maintaining their privacy amidst growing scrutiny.
