Sung Hanbin, leader of ZEROBASEONE, has announced his first solo album under THE L1VE LABEL.

Following a news report published on September 7, the agency confirmed that Hanbin will make his solo debut on October 12, 2026, though no further details have been revealed at present.

Since his first appearance as a trainee on Mnet’s survival show Boys Planet in 2023, Hanbin has received immense support from fans. Though ZEROBASEONE was formed as a result of Boys Planet, the show itself pitted the trainees against each other and led to individual voting campaigns. Hanbin’s, until the finale, was consistently the strongest; he achieved the number one position for 11 consecutive episodes and concluded the show in the number two position. 

That support led to his debut in July 2023, but also to other activities. It has seen him appear solo during special award show performances, and as an MC for MCountdown, KCON, and multiple versions of the dance competition show Street Woman Fighter. The support for Hanbin as an individual, alongside his presence in ZEROBASEONE, has always been clear.

In March 2026, failed contract negotiations led to a divide in ZEROBASEONE. While four members left and became part of AND2BLE, Hanbin remained in the group — but also extended an additional contract with the company he trained under, THE L1VE LABEL. The choice indicated an intention to pursue solo activities, and that implication is coming to fruition.

ZEROBASEONE’s second Japanese EP LOVE saw success upon its release on August 19, topping the Oricon Weekly and Daily Album Charts. Despite the group’s reorganisation, their popularity remains. Now, Hanbin may take a step back to promote his own project off the back of the achievement.
