WOODZ To Release New Digital Single “Come into my world!”
By Isabel Miller
Singer-songwriter WOODZ is set to release a new digital single, titled “Come into my world!”, on October 20 – in the midst of the second resurgence of his hit song “Drowning.”
His agency EDAM Entertainment announced the release of the single via a poster, which has been designed to look like a classic “WANTED” poster. A photo of WOODZ is etched into the surface of browning paper, with further text unveiling the song’s title and the tagline “Time waits for no one, so make it your day / You ain’t got another shot if you miss today.” The release date of “Come into my world!” is comedically encoded in the “$261,020” reward.
Since then, WOODZ has also shared an animated track sampler that features visuals inspired by Old Western, rodeo iconography, from cowboy hats and boots to pistols. The instrumental that plays in the background carries a similar concept musically, and a new performance teaser sees WOODZ’s shouting and dancing with an electric energy on a set that resembles a traditional rodeo.
Further concept images see WOODZ in a recreation of a graveyard, slumped over vague gravestones that are dated to the 1300s. All refer back to an era long past and see a cohesive concept building as promotions continue to roll out.
The release comes as WOODZ’s most popular song “Drowning” makes another resurgence in Korea. It appeared back on numerous domestic charts throughout 2025, and in December, reached 50 weeks spent in the Top 10 of MelOn’s Weekly Chart – breaking the all-time record for the song with the most weeks spent in the Top 10, which was previously held by NewJeans and “Hype Boy” at 49 weeks. As of October 2026, “Drowning” has extended WOODZ’s new record to a whopping 80 weeks and counting.
“Drowning” was released in 2023 as a B-side on WOODZ’s mini album OO-LI, and while it didn’t lead the album, the song was deemed a major sleeper hit in 2024 after a video of the artist belting out the chorus at an Army Music Band performance during his mandatory military service period went viral. Not only is its resurgence remarkable, but as is its sustained presence on the charts throughout the two years since that moment.
With “Come into my world!”, WOODZ’s first solo release since his first studio album Archive. 1 came outin March, it seems that the artist is taking a very different approach musically. When “Drowning” propelled him to fame, its ballad genre is what spurred those incredible vocal moments – “Come into my world!”, alternatively, contains loud, energetic chants and draws on the somewhat comedic setting of a rodeo. That approach is beginning to drive anticipation for an entirely different reason than why “Drowning” remains popular, WOODZ turning heads by placing fun as the centre of his comeback.
“Come into my world!” by WOODZ will be available to stream and download on October 20, 2026.
