&TEAM have released their third EP, We on Fire, alongside the official music video for the title track – a nine-member action sequence set within the group's ongoing DARK MOON universe that marks the first time all members have taken on full-scale cinematic storytelling together.
The title track blends trap, rock and hip-hop into a self-affirming anthem about reigniting after giving everything, when scars become the fuel. Beyond the hooks, it’s worth paying attention to who made it. Producer Soma Genda, who has been embedded in &TEAM's sound since their debut, co-produced alongside JULiA LEWiS, whose credits include Bad Bunny's "EL CLúB" from DeBÍ TiRAR MáSFoToS – the album that made history at this year's Grammys as the first entirely Spanish-language record to win Album of the Year.
Across the EP, the production roster reads like a deliberate map of where the creative infrastructure behind HYBE's global sound actually lives now. "HOTLINE" pulls in Andy Love, known for his work with TOMORROW X TOGETHER, and Alex Karlsson, who has contributed to songs for both BTS and LE SSERAFIM – writers who have spent years learning what makes a stadium-scale HYBE track function at that level. "Bewitched," the EP's darkest entry and its most lore-heavy, comes from Cameron Warren alongside a multi-writer lineup that spans continents. "Sakura-iro Yell," a piano-and-strings spring ballad about partings and new beginnings, keeps the Japanese songwriting lineage intact through YUUKI SANO and returning contributor Ohashi Chippoke, who has been part of the group's writing circle since their debut EP.
The through-line is that no single territory dominates. From Grammy-winning pop production to Japanese compositional tradition – &TEAM are drawing from all of it simultaneously, and that's consistent with how HYBE JAPAN has positioned them from the start. The group has nine members from different backgrounds, built around the explicit idea of bridging worlds. The production choices on We on Fire are that brief made audible.
It also makes the DARK MOON universe – a HYBE original story built around a werewolf narrative that has run beneath &TEAM's discography since their debut – easier to sustain across markets. A mythology-driven concept works better when the music itself doesn't signal a single point of origin. We on Fire is framed as a pivotal new chapter within that universe, the EP's arc tracing the members' growth and strengthening bonds as the story develops. The title track's music video puts all nine members through full-scale action sequences for the first time, extending the cinematic scope of the project beyond the audio.
The physical release arrives on 21 April. &TEAM then launch their second Asia tour, "2026 &TEAM CONCERT TOUR 'BLAZE THE WAY'," opening on 13 May at K-Arena Yokohama – a venue that carries its own statement of scale. The group operates under HYBE JAPAN's YX LABELS, and the tour continues a trajectory that has been pointing steadily outward since their formation.
