Record-breaking eight-piece Stray Kids have made history in Tokyo, hosting two solo concerts at the National Stadium of Japan.

Across August 29 and August 30, the group drew 140,000 fans to the stadium for a complete sell-out. Both concerts were part of the Japan leg of the new <RUN IT> World Tour, which commenced in Seoul at the end of July with a sold-out five-day stint.

The performances at the National Stadium hold particular significance, as Stray Kids become the first male foreign act to headline the venue. They follow labelmates TWICE, who became the first overall foreign act to headline the venue last year on their ‘THIS IS FOR’ World Tour.

During the concert, Stray Kids showcased an altered setlist with the first live, concert performance of their new title track “This & That.” They also made use of the increased size of the National Stadium, unveiling a new stage layout consisting of a large ring around a central floor pit. The layout is a fresh take on the increase in 360-degree stages seen across K-pop tours.

As a result of the sell-out, Stray Kids announced a further three shows in Tokyo which will see their return in November, this time at the Tokyo Dome. It will be their first performance at the venue since the <dominATE> Tour was held in 2024 – which saw 165,000 fans for three sell-out shows.

On November 25, the group are set to release their fourth Japanese EP Suiatsu; the combination of this historical weekend and the promise of a return to Tokyo kick off promotions.
