NEXZ’ Tease Fourth Mini Album ‘SAUCIN’’ With Unique Concept
by Isabel Miller

JYP Entertainment’s NEXZ have begun unveiling teaser images for their fourth mini album, SAUCIN’, which is scheduled to be released on August 24, 2026.
One set of images sees the group in a factory, surrounded by metallic surfaces and machinery, representative of behind-the-scenes production. A second sees each of the seven members surrounded by that resulting product: a bright red sauce. It coats every surface, is built up in piles in the background, and spills from cans of vibrant red, green and yellow. Both combine to create a narrative symbolizing NEXZ’s journey to find their own musical flavour.
Unique camera angles and video clips enhance the concept, with each member photographed from within a glass sauce jar and certain images edited to become 360-degree, immersive versions showcasing the surroundings. These techniques are playful and eye-catching, standing out against the typical static, mid-shot teaser images seen taken for K-pop albums.

NEXZ have already seen success with their single album Mmchk and its eponymous title track, which saw the group reach a career-high of 440,000 first week sales and achieve their first music show win. The song is loud and bold, and these new images for SAUCIN’ suggest that this boldness will continue and become the group’s signature. If the previous success of such a concept with Mmchk is anything to go by, NEXZ is one to watch.
SAUCIN’ will be released on August 24, consisting of the title track “SAUCIN’” and the five B-sides “LOCO,” “APPETITE,” “UPGRADE,” “20 NOW,” and “ALIENS.” Tomoya, Haru, and Hyui contributed to the lyrics of “APPETITE,” and Tomoya also contributed to “20 NOW” – showcasing a hands-on approach from the members that will enhance their unique image.
More concept films and videos are to come according to the timetable published on NEXZ’s social media.
