EXO’s sub-unit CBX, made up of Chen, Baekhyun, and Xiumin, have reportedly filed a legal injunction against their company INB100.

According to a legal source, the trio are seeking to suspend their exclusive contracts with INB100. They initially declared their intentions to part ways with the agency in April, citing several reasons including unpaid settlements.

Baekhyun himself founded the company in 2023 after terminating his exclusive contract with SM Entertainment. In 2024, Chen and Xiumin joined him. Since then, each of the trio have released multiple solo mini albums and singles under INB100, though no new music has been shared in 2026.

In May 2023, a few months after INB100 was established, the company was taken in as a subsidiary of ONE HUNDRED LABEL. Earlier this year, however, ONE HUNDRED LABEL’s former CEO Cha Gawon was indicted for fraud worth over $22 million USD — aligning with the decision of CBX to leave the company citing payment issues and explaining the lack of new releases. Now, they are making concrete steps towards a resolution with a request for contract suspensions.

The initial move to INB100 and ONE HUNDRED LABEL disrupted the members’ relationship with SM Entertainment and their participation in EXO. Several lawsuits were exchanged between the companies throughout 2024 and 2025, and upon failing to reach a resolution, the trio were not included in the release of EXO’s sixth studio album REVERXE in January 2026.

As the situation develops, it raises questions over the future of CBX, both as a unit and as soloists, and over the lineup of EXO. As the trio never officially departed from the group, there is a possibility that they will rejoin group activities if a settlement is pursued in the future.

A hearing reportedly took place in Seoul on September 7. Further details about the case have not been confirmed, with no official response or statement from the members themselves.
