BOYNEXTDOOR's First World Tour Signals a New Chapter

By Catherine Shin

Three years into their career, BOYNEXTDOOR is moving quickly, but not in the way K-pop groups traditionally have.

The KOZ Entertainment group has announced BOYNEXTDOOR TOUR 'KNOCK ON Vol.2.' This 24-city world tour will run until early 2027 and will cover South Korea, Japan, North America, and Southeast Asia. For a group that debuted in 2023, the scale of this tour shows how much momentum they've built.

Seoul kicks things off with three nights at KSPO DOME from July 17 to 19, followed by performances at Busan's Sajik Indoor Gymnasium on August 1 and 2. Japan comes next, with six cities on the schedule, including Kanagawa, Osaka, Miyagi, and Chiba.

Then they will head to North America, starting in Dallas on October 30. The tour will pass through Pompano Beach, Chicago, New York, Toronto, Vancouver, Seattle, San Francisco, and Los Angeles before ending in Mexico City on November 24. They will wrap up the tour with dates in Southeast Asia, including Jakarta, Kuala Lumpur, Taipei, Hong Kong, Singapore, and Bangkok between December and January.

The timing is intentional. HOME, the group's debut full-length album, is set to release on June 8, less than six weeks before the tour begins. After building their catalog primarily through singles and EPs, launching a world tour tied to a proper album feels like a significant next step.

Still, the rollout reflects a larger change happening in K-pop. Groups are touring earlier, growing quicker, and relying more on fan demand rather than extensive music catalogs to support

arena-level shows. BOYNEXTDOOR is entering this conversation at an interesting moment: they aren't rookies anymore, but they are still only three years into their journey. They are just now releasing their first studio album.

The pre-release track "Ddok Ddok Ddok" is already available ahead of HOME, along with the groundwork laid by songs like "Earth, Wind & Fire" and "If I Say, I Love You" over the past year. However, KNOCK ON Vol.2 likely represents more than just a typical comeback cycle. It feels like a test of how much BOYNEXTDOOR's fanbase has grown internationally, especially in North America.

There's also the question of what makes a "world tour" in K-pop today. Despite the title, Europe is missing from the schedule, which many international fans have increasingly criticized as companies prioritize Asia and North America for their large-scale tours. Whether more dates will

be added later is uncertain, but this absence reflects a wider industry trend rather than just a BOYNEXTDOOR-specific issue.

Even with this gap, KNOCK ON Vol.2 marks a major turning point. BOYNEXTDOOR is no longer seen as just one of K-pop's promising new acts; they are being recognized on a global scale, and this tour is proof of that.

Ticketing information will be shared through official channels in the coming weeks.
