Baby DONT Cry To Release New Single “Replay” Ahead of Debut Japanese Mini Album
by Isabel Miller

P NATION have announced that their fifth-generation girl group Baby DONT Cry will release Korean- and Japanese-language versions of new single “Replay” on November 4, ahead of their debut Japanese mini album.
The news was shared via a video teaser, titled “Invitation.” In the teaser, the viewer follows a ghost as it soars up and through the window of an old stone castle, entering a dining room, where an “Invitation” scroll sits on a table and begins to unroll. On it is the title “Replay” written in an elegant serif font, the November 4 release date, and a small note that declares that the single will be released in both “KOR” and “JP.”
Since then, a pink-tinted concept photo has been shared, positioning the four members against two grand, open doors as feathers float around them. The image was unveiled alongside the digital single’s track credits, which list executive producer PSY, composers Crush, haventseenyou, and No.37, and lyricists Seo Jieum, No.37, and Crush. Of these names, Crush is especially notable; the singer-songwriter and producer has been part of major collaborations over the years, including the recent viral track “EPIKISM” by Epik High and “seesaw” with IU.

Articles later shared by P NATION revealed that “Replay” will act as a pre-release to raise anticipation for Baby DONT Cry’s first Japanese mini album, which is scheduled for January 20, 2027. By releasing the song in both Korean and Japanese, the group will hope to use their international audience to drive the visibility of the upcoming mini album – while also taking advantage of their past virality in Japan.
Two members of Baby DONT Cry, KUMI and MIA, are Japanese. Immediately, that encouraged Japanese fans to support the group upon their debut. What caused their virality in Japan, however, was a singular line within their 2025 debut single “F Girl.” KUMI’s “Kumi dayo,” meaning “It’s Kumi,” flooded social media in Japan with listeners calling the line and its delivery addictive.
It should come as no surprise that the group plan to capitalise on that moment and their consequential fanbase formed in Japan. Baby DONT Cry has seen success with other releases this year. “Bittersweet,” the title track of their first mini album After Cry, became the groups’ fastest song to surpass one million streams on Spotify.
“Replay” by Baby DONT Cry will be available on global streaming services on November 4, and more information regarding their Japanese debut mini album will be shared prior to its release in January 2027.
