AleXa encapsulates the musical mantra of her life with "Joy of Missing Out"

Gen Z has coined numerous acronyms and slangs to describe every possible situation and mood, but perhaps the most relatable and impactful phrase is "Joy of Missing Out," or JOMO in internet slang. It embodies the idea of living life unapologetically, without stress or the pressure to chase trends that don’t bring real value.
AleXa's "Joy of Missing Out," sung entirely in English, brings this concept to life with dreamy visuals of her in soft pink and peach hues, set against a whimsical, scrapbook-like backdrop filled with stickers, glitter, and emoticons. In this upbeat, playful, and feel-good song, AleXa delivers a musical mantra focused on living fully and prioritizing self-care. Lyrics like “Leave me be by myself, I’ll be happy as, happy as hell. Honestly, you’re missing out on the joy of missing out” perfectly sums up her philosophy.

Fans have pointed out that "Joy of Missing Out" evokes a nostalgic 2000s American pop sound, reminiscent of Kelly Clarkson, but with the charm and aesthetics of K-pop. AleXa is also set to release a full English-language album soon, with "Joy of Missing Out" being one of the tracks, alongside pre-releases like "i’m okay," "sick," and "Distraction."
