It’s truly endearing when K-pop idols make a genuine effort to communicate with their fans in English, especially considering that English isn’t their first language, and they aren’t obligated to speak it. Yet, many fans find comfort in knowing that their favorite idols care enough to try speaking a language that is universally understood.

BTOB’s Eunkwang, one of the most talented idols in the K-pop industry and the leader and main vocalist of the group, is known for his heartfelt messages to fans. In an older livestream, a fan shared that they were feeling sad, prompting Eunkwang to express his concern and ask why they were upset. Trying his best to communicate in English, Eunkwang innocently told the fan to "give up" instead of saying "don't give up" and encouraging them to cheer up.

Realizing his mistake, the "Please Stay" singer laughed and quickly corrected himself, reassuring fans to hang in there, stay strong, and not give up. Despite the mix-up, his lovable comment and sense of humor made MELODYs (BTOB’s fandom) feel unexpectedly comforted and at ease. In fact, many people who weren't familiar with BTOB became fans of both Eunkwang and the group after witnessing his genuine and charming personality.
