SF9 urges fans "Don't Worry, Be Happy" in affirmative music video

The music video kicks off with a whimsical "How to Get Over a Breakup," setting the stage for a joyful, wholesome, and uplifting dance-pop experience with the aptly named "Don't Worry, Be Happy," the lead single from the group's 14th mini-album, Fantasy.

The video begins with the intriguing concept of a restaurant that erases memories as the first method for overcoming a breakup. This is quickly followed by a visit to a laundry machine, suggesting that heartbreak can be washed away, and then a car wash, symbolizing the cleansing of pain. The journey concludes with a stop at a payphone, where the final message to the ex-partner brings closure to the breakup.

The lyrics mirror this positive and heartening tone: "I'll always cherish our memories, don't worry, be happy," and "I'll let go of your hands, be happy, you have to be happy, with a smile, goodbye." What sets this music video apart is its refreshing approach—despite being a breakup song, it avoids negativity, blame, or derogatory remarks about ex-partners. Instead, SF9 encourages their fans to acknowledge their feelings, accept the pain with a smile, and ultimately embrace the mantra, "Don't Worry, Be Happy."
