Kim Woo-seok: Here After Everything

Kim Woo-seok, formerly known as Wooshin, is a South Korean singer, songwriter, and actor born on October 27, 1996. He began his career in the entertainment industry as a member of the boy group Up10tion, which debuted in 2015. Woo-seok quickly gained recognition as the first member introduced in Up10tion's pre-debut program Masked Rookie King Up10tion. His versatility extended to hosting, as he co-hosted the music show The Show in 2016. However, he faced a challenging period when he went on hiatus in 2017 due to mental health issues, later returning to the group with the release of their first studio album, Invitation.

In 2019, Woo-seok's career took a significant turn when he participated in the reality competition Produce X 101, where he finished second, securing a spot in the temporary group X1. X1's debut was highly anticipated, and they released their first EP, Emergency: Quantum Leap, in August 2019. However, the group's career was short-lived due to a voting manipulation scandal, leading to their disbandment in January 2020. Despite this setback, Woo-seok continued to pursue his career, transitioning into acting and taking on a lead role in the web drama Twenty-Twenty.

Woo-seok's solo career began in earnest with the release of his debut extended play 1st Desire (Greed) in May 2020, featuring the lead single "Red Moon." He received recognition for his solo work, winning the New K-Wave Voice Award at the Soribada Best K-Music Awards. His success continued with the release of his second EP, 2nd Desire (Tasty), and its lead single "Sugar," which earned him his first music show win on M Countdown. Woo-seok's acting career also flourished as he took on a role in the tvN drama Bulgasal, adding to his repertoire as a multi-talented artist.

In 2022, Woo-seok released his third EP, 3rd Desire (Reve), with the title track "Switch," achieving another music show win. He continued to engage with his fans through various activities, including his first fan meeting and an Asia Fancon tour titled "The Siren," which spanned multiple countries. This tour highlighted his growing popularity and solidified his status as a solo artist. Woo-seok's departure from Up10tion was announced in early 2023, marking a new chapter in his career as he continued to focus on his solo endeavors.

In 2023, Woo-seok released his fourth EP Blank Page, with the title track "Dawn," and starred in the healing romance drama Finland Papa. He also participated in the 2023 Seen Festival in Vietnam and concluded his Fancon tour in Bangkok, Thailand. His exclusive contract with TOP Media expired in March 2024, and he subsequently signed with Blitzway Studios, continuing his artistic journey.
