In December 2022, the multi-talented Thai singer-songwriter, music producer, and actress Faii, also known as Fyeqoodgurl (the name of her YouTube channel), released an impressive cover of NewJeans' "Hype Boy." Her cover brilliantly combined K-pop with synth-pop, bubblegum pop, and future bass, creating a track that was thoroughly enjoyable, entertaining, and engaging.
Fyeqoodgurl also made her solo debut in 2022, and her rendition of "Hype Boy" was particularly notable given that Korean is not her first language.
