Debut: What do you think of NextU?

NextU (Korean: 넥스트유) is the newest group from Shinwha Entertainment. Its first unit made their debut on May 31, 2024 with an English-language performance video of the single OOPSY DAISY. 

 

While NextU aims to be a global girl group with an unlimited number of members – an ambitious goal akin to NCT and tripleS – the group debuted with Riel, Yehee, Jella, RoA, Chloe, and Lexie, as featured in the video.

 

In our opinion, the film production quality isn’t nearly as good as other girl groups out there, and the dancing leaves a lot to be desired. But despite this, it gives off a quirky, homespun charm that we really enjoy. It’s cute. It also helps that the song is an absolute banger.
