Daily Non-K-pop Spotlight: “Inefficient Man” by Eastern Sidekick

Eastern Sidekick was a K-indie band that released music during the last few years of the golden wave of internet indie between 2010 and 2013. This track, “Inefficient Man,” captures that time period so well. It’s reminiscent of western groups like Mumm-ra and (at times) Band of Horses. Juhwan Oh’s vocals are a flawless baritone, infusing the music with far more grit and heavy angst than most K-indie bands these days.
