Daily Non-K-pop Spotlight: “Fall” by Soumbalgwang

This might just be the most hardcore song we’ve ever featured. Technically classified as Post-Hardcore, this song from Korean indie rock band Soumbalgwang features noisy, distorted rhythm guitar; blatty, biting bass; melodic and shimmery clean lead guitar; and an excellent dirty vocal that cuts through it all. Busan sure knows how to build some rowdy rock acts.

 

“Fall” certainly won’t be for everyone, but if you’re looking for exhilarating amounts of energy, lots of crash cymbal, furious guitar strumming, and plenty of shouts and screams to go around, this track is for you. Come for the in-your-face energy, stay for Kang Dong-su’s fierce vocals.
