In recent years, K-pop has firmly established its presence at the MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs). From BTS to BLACKPINK and Stray Kids, South Korea’s top music acts have graced the stage at this iconic event. However, there’s something uniquely empowering when one of the world’s biggest female pop stars wholeheartedly supports a fellow artist group, especially when that group is widely regarded as the biggest girl group in the world. That brings us to Taylor Swift and BLACKPINK.

At the 2022 MTV VMAs, BLACKPINK stole the spotlight with their performance of the hit track "Pink Venom." Taylor Swift, seated in the audience, couldn’t resist grooving along, enthusiastically cheering for the K-pop superstars. Fans also noticed that she recorded BLACKPINK’s performance and shared it on her official TikTok, cementing her status as a certified BLACKPINK fan.

 

Now, BLINKs are hopeful that a collaboration between BLACKPINK and Taylor Swift could be on the horizon. Adding to the excitement, the 2024 MTV VMAs are scheduled for September 11th, where BLACKPINK's Lisa is confirmed to perform her solo stage performance at the prestigious event.
