Taeyeon belts out heavenly vocals in dramatic music video

K-pop's IT girl-group, Girls' Generation's leader, Taeyeon, returns with the digital single “Heaven.” As a spiritual successor to her soulful OST Dream, which she sang for the K-drama Welcome to Samdal-ri, Heaven features elegant vocals that perfectly complement the dramatic music video.

 

Best described as a dance-pop track with a frisky vibe, “Heaven” impressively uses guitar to evoke a sense of fulfillment akin to reaching heaven. In classic SM Entertainment style, Taeyeon sings effortlessly, drawing fans into an imaginary paradise with her powerful vocals and captivating screen presence.

 

 

The music video, however, has visuals that look straight out of a horror film, with dark color tones, a bear named Gomven, and brief glimpses of blood, creating an eerie atmosphere. These gory visuals perfectly complement Taeyeon's heavenly vocals, adding a unique contrast.
