K-pop, originally standing for Korean pop, has evolved both geographically and metaphorically, far surpassing its initial scope, and WayV's recent track "Go Higher" exemplifies this transformation. NCT's Chinese subunit, WayV, made their highly anticipated Japanese debut with the mini-album The Highest and its title track, "Go Higher."

"Go Higher" is a powerful West Coast hip-hop track infused with neo-soul elements. In classic NCT fashion, the song opens with impeccable vocals, confident rap verses, and undeniable swagger that carries throughout. The chorus, featuring a smooth falsetto, is incredibly catchy, enhanced by a clever echo effect that mimics the sensation of hearing your own voice while climbing a mountain.

WayV has skillfully adapted to the distinct musical styles of the three major Asian languages—Korean, Chinese, and now Japanese. Fans are eagerly awaiting the music video, which they believe will be one for the ages!
