Good grief. Who hasn’t been copied by Min Hee Jin yet?

Min Hee Jin appears to be stealing concepts faster than Taylor Swift dumps boyfriends. She opened a can of worms when she accused ILLIT of plagiarizing concepts from NewJeans. Since then, it appears she patterned NewJeans’ look off of the Mexican girl group Jeans, as well as the Japanese girl group SPEED.
Now, internet sleuths have discovered an interesting coincidence. It appears an artist named “Pink Tape” released a record in 2012 and had album art that was remarkably similar to Pink Tape by (f)x. This record dropped in 2013 under SM Entertainment while Min Hee Jin was creative director.

It’s important to note that the genres are not even close to similar, and the idea of naming something after a retro format like a cassette isn’t super unique. Still, the fact that they’re literally named the same thing and look similar is suspect. Further, the fact that the internet is discussing this so fervently is a testament to how public opinion about Min Hee Jin is veering into extremely negative territory.

TLDR: it’s not outside the realm of possibility that Min Hee Jin saw this, added it to a mood board on Pinterest or something, and then decided to lift the concept entirely – or did it subconsciously.
