BTS’s Jin to Participate In Torch Relay at 2024 Paris Olympics

Wow, Jin has been busy! Since being discharged from the military last month, Jin from BTS has held a fan event, announced different shows that he is planning to appear on, and has already started working on new music! So, what’s next for him? Carrying the Olympic Torch, of course!

Jin has been confirmed as a torchbearer for the 2024 Paris Olympics, making him a key figure in the prestigious event. According to the Paris 2024 Organizing Committee, Jin will be the first torchbearer for the Louvre section of the relay in downtown Paris, set to take place on Sunday, July 14.

Olympics.com has announced that Jin is scheduled to start carrying the torch from the Pyramid of the Louvre Museum at approximately 8:30 PM. This exciting news follows an earlier announcement this month, which revealed Jin’s selection as a torchbearer but did not provide specific details about his route or timing.

The date of Jin’s relay, July 14, coincides with Bastille Day, France’s National Day, adding extra significance to the event. The torch relay, which began on April 16 at the Temple of Hera in Olympia, Greece, reached Marseille, France, on May 8, and will traverse around 60 locations before culminating at the opening ceremony.

The relay will feature approximately 10,000 participants, including notable figures such as soccer legend Didier Drogba, French Resistance members from World War II, and survivors of the 2016 Nice truck attack, highlighting the diverse and inspirational stories behind the torchbearers.
