yung kai releases "blue" remix with K-Pop idol MINNIE

Rising global artist yung kai is set to release a highly anticipated remix of his breakout track “blue”— this time featuring a brand-new verse from MINNIE of K-pop powerhouse (G)I-DLE.

Originally released in August 2024, “blue” quickly became a sleeper hit, capturing hearts across TikTok and Instagram with its dreamy, lo-fi sound and emotionally raw storytelling. The track has since amassed over 300 million streams on Spotify, 100 million views on YouTube, and is approaching 1 billion streams across platforms, cementing kai’s status as one of the most compelling voices in genre-blurring pop.

The remix drops on Friday, 18th April, and introduces MINNIE's signature honey-toned vocals on a bonus verse, adding a new dimension of softness and longing to the fan-favorite track.

"It's crazy how my bias since high school is on my song. I felt her aura as soon as I walked in the studio. I think MINNIE's verse on "blue" adds so much more to the feeling of nostalgia and falling in love." - yung kai

The remix arrives just ahead of kai’s performance at 88Rising’s Head in the Clouds Festival in May, where he’ll share the stage with incredible artists like G-Dragon, 2NE1, Dean, and Rich Brian.

Who is yung kai?
