There's no denying the heartwarming friendship between American singer-songwriter Halsey and BTS, but she also shares a special bond with the group’s global fanbase, known as ARMY. In 2019, during an appearance on the Zach Sang Show, Halsey spoke highly of ARMY, praising their generosity, kindness, and welcoming nature since she announced her intention to collaborate with the group.
Halsey highlighted how Western media often portrays ARMY as frivolous teenage fangirls, but in reality, they are a powerful and diverse fanbase.
BTS and Halsey first teamed up on the 2019 levity-infused retro-summer hit "Boy With Luv," then joined forces with member SUGA on "SUGA's Interlude," and reunited once more for the music video "Lilith." Their strong connection has earned Halsey the affectionate title of 'ARMY's girl' from BTS' dedicated fans.
