Watch the Moment When BTS' Jimin Failed to Recognize Son Heung Min

Celebrities are just like us—they make mistakes too! However, some mistakes are harder to live down, and that was certainly the case for BTS’ Jimin when he failed to recognize soccer star Son Heung Min. This happened during a 2021 episode of The Game Caterers, where BTS participated in a "Guess the Celebrity" game. The challenge? They had to guess the celebrity in 10 seconds or lose the round.

When it was Jimin’s turn, a picture of South Korea’s national football team captain, Son Heung Min, flashed on the screen. In the heat of the moment, Jimin drew a blank and couldn’t remember his name. The other BTS members were stunned and teased him for not recognizing the famous soccer star. Jimin quickly defended himself, explaining that he definitely knew who Son Heung Min was, but the pressure of the game caused a temporary memory lapse.

As a gesture to make up for the mix-up, PD Na Young Suk gave Jimin a t-shirt with Son Heung Min’s name on it. Jimin then publicly apologized to the soccer star, expressing his admiration and stating that he’s a big fan, just like the rest of the country.
