Trio Sign With UNCORE, Possible Name Change

By Isabel Miller

Eunha, SinB and Umji of girl group VIVIZ have signed an exclusive contract with UNCORE, the agency announced on October 5, 2026.

The trio initially debuted as members of GFRIEND in 2015, who rose to become a popular third generation girl group under SOURCE MUSIC. After their six-year contracts expired in 2021, Eunha, SinB and Umji moved to Big Planet Made Entertainment, re-debuting the following year as VIVIZ. Since then, VIVIZ have had several successful releases – most notably with the songs “MANIAC” and “Untie,” which spurred viral dance challenges.

In March 2026, a law firm publicly announced that the group’s contract with Big Planet Made Entertainment had been terminated. With the trio facing the end of a second contract, there was uncertainty over whether VIVIZ would return. Today, those uncertainties have been answered with confirmation that Eunha, SinB and Umji have collectively signed with UNCORE – home to rising boy group CLOSE YOUR EYES – and are set to resume activities.

“Since debuting in 2015, the three members have been together for a long time and have displayed their unique capabilities through their solid teamwork and a wide variety of activities,” UNCORE’s announcement reads. “We will give them our unsparing support across a variety of areas so that they can continue to be active as a group.”

However, the company also indicated that the future of VIVIZ may take place under a different name. The name “VIVIZ” is legally owned by Big Planet Made Entertainment, and while negotiations with the trio’s former company regarding its use are ongoing UNCORE has also stated that other options are being discussed. “Because we consider the speedy and stable resumption of the three members’ activities to be our top priority,” the company stated, “we are also considering promotions under a new group name.”

The news is promising for fans of Eunha, SinB and Umji. They trio have over ten years of experience in the industry and have seen success with both of the girl groups they have been part of over the last decade, highlighting their strong fanbase and ability. With a new chapter ahead of them, fans can be reassured that the members are still intending to remain active as artists.

A re-debut would see them contribute to the third, fourth and fifth generations of K-pop, becoming a continued pillar within the industry. Additionally, though circumstances vary, it would see Eunha, SinB and Umji join a growing list of third generation “veteran” idols who have announced a return to music this year and are swiftly garnering attention.

Further news regarding the trio’s activities and the outcome of negotiations over the VIVIZ name will be announced at a later date.
