TOMORROW X TOGETHER JP 5th SINGLE 'Setsuna Hanabi' (Special Edition)

Photos and Text: Yasmine Beyaz

This week, we are diving into TOMORROW X TOGETHER’s JP 5th SINGLE 'Setsuna Hanabi' (Special Edition) release.

This version was originally released via Weverse on 19th August 2026, for ¥3,080 in Japan and $27.11 globally. The ‘Special Edition’ version is made up of an outer zip pack, disc case, CD, analog-size card set (18 in total), one selfie photocard ‘A’, one selfie photocard ‘B’ and folded poster. It features the tracks: Setsuna Hanabi (セツナハナビ), Silence, Nice to Meet Ya, and Setsuna Hanabi (セツナハナビ) (Natsuyoi (夏宵) Ver.).

Initially, what is noticeable about this album is the size: it is large, with the outer zip pack measuring 30CM*32CM. It is reminiscent of an LP, which is around the same dimensions. The outer zip pack is completely transparent, with only the logos bordering the front along the top and bottom. This creates a window where you can see the top most analog-size card at the front, acting as the cover.

It has beautiful, brightly coloured flowers contrasting with a blue background, which immediately catches your attention. The reverse shows the vivid orange disc case, with delicate organic details.

Along the top, there is a small, easily missed quote stating: “Something quietly touches me. A warmth without a name yet. Light melts into my skin, and color begins to breathe. Blooming, unraveling, opening. Life is both silent and loud. Boundaries disappear and overlap, becoming part of me.” – this poetically sets the scene for what you will find inside.

After opening the outer zip pack, you’re able to take out all 18 individual analog-size cards, which are essentially 26CM*26CM sized post cards. A positive to this is that you’re able to choose which you would like to display at the front, and there are 3 group cards and 3 for each member.

The imagery is stunning, continuing exclusively with the floral themed concept – ‘Bloom’. The main flowers recurring in this theme appear to be: yellow and pink peonies, sunflower, crown imperial, white lily and poppies. The members may have corresponding flowers: SOOBIN appears to mostly pose with the white lilies (sometimes a peace lily specifically); YEONJUN is mostly seen with orange crown imperials; BEOMGYU mostly with the pink peonies; TAEHYUN with poppies; HUENING KAI with the yellow peonies or sunflower.

Following these is the folded poster, disc case with CD, and photocards. The folded poster is just shy of maxi-size dimensions, though it is still quite sizeable – measuring 78CM*52CM – and features an exclusive image from the concept shoot. The reverse of the poster is used to display the lyrics and credits. There is also an attractive illustration taking up most of the negative space in the center, featuring details relating to the theme such as butterflies and fireworks.

The vibrant disc case and CD also contain similar illustrations. This version includes 2 random photocards, from two sets: ‘A’ and ‘B’. Both sets use selfies taken within the same ‘Bloom’ concept, however set ‘A’ are unit selfies with two of the members, while set ‘B’ are individual members; there are 10 photocards in total.

The theme and imagery used in this album are both highly charming. The use of bright and vivid colours along with organic, natural elements throughout creates a very enjoyable visual story, and this concept would suit collectors who enjoy an aesthetically pleasing album over inclusions. This album is certainly worthy of being displayed as a center piece.
