Throwback Concept of the Day: NU’EST’s FACE

It’s now been two years since NU’EST announced their disbandment. The group, consisting of Aron, Baekho, JR, Minhyun, and Ren had been together for a full decade at that point, and had already made a massive impact on the Korean pop world.

 

The group debuted on March 5, 2012 with the track “Face.” This was their first introduction to the world, and thus the pictures needed to be striking. Although they might not have aged the best (early 2010s just has a style, right?), the concept photos certainly did the job, ensuring everyone knew that NU’EST were their own thing, ready to conquer the world! Also, not saying this definitely was an influence for anyone, but who’s to say that black and pink color sceme didn’t get the wheels turning for a group that would come later.
