The Jeans vs NewJeans drama continues

The music industry is quickly turning on NewJeans. Their wave of negative publicity continues. After Mexican girl group Jeans released a pretty diplomatic statement days ago, one of the original Jeans members went rogue on Instagram and took shots at NewJeans in her stories.

 

Jeans member Paty Sirvent shared a story that – in English – reads: “All this time they plagiarized us right in front of our faces, it’s like, brooo, the clue was in the title itself!” 

 

Paty then wrote her own comment: “We weren’t entirely wrong.”

 

All of this tea is ironic given the fact that NewJeans accused ILLIT of stealing their style. Looks like these recent revelations make Jeans the grandmothers of ILLIT? What a wild ride.
