Singer Kim Ho Joong Transferred to Seoul Detention Center, Held in Solitary Confinement Amidst Drunk Driving Charges

Recent developments regarding singer Kim Ho Joong, who faces charges related to drunk driving, have been revealed. As disclosed in a recent installment of Channel A's Powerful Team 4, Kim Ho Joong, previously held at Gangnam Police Station, has been transferred to Seoul Detention Center.

Reports indicate that Kim, initially detained in solitary confinement at the detention center, remains isolated in Seoul Detention Center. Given Kim's high-profile public persona, concerns have emerged regarding potential harassment from fellow inmates and the risk of self-harm amidst rapid psychological changes.

An official from the correctional authority hinted at the possibility of relocating Kim to a different area within the facility depending on how he adapts. Notably, Kim's solitary confinement reportedly occurs in proximity to where singer Jung Joon Young, embroiled in the Burning Sun scandal, and Cho Joo Bin, perpetrator of the “Nth Room” case, were housed.

The solitary confinement area in Seoul Detention Center, measuring approximately 5.05 square meters and equipped with surveillance CCTV, includes basic amenities such as a flush toilet, sink, blanket, and limited television access from 5 PM to 9 PM daily for Kim Ho Joong.
