Refamiliarize yourself with Jin

For those who don’t remember (but let’s be real – how could you forget?), Jin was a vocalist and visual for BTS until he began his military service. He is one of the most famous people in all of K-pop, but he put that all aside to serve his country for a year and a half. Jin was the first member of the popular boy group to begin his mandatory military service and has been in the military since December 13. 2022. 

 

He enlisted in the army as an active-duty soldier. He later worked in the 5th Infantry Division’s Recruit Training Center as an assistant instructor. Imagine joining the military and being trained by Jin! That would be a dream come true for some fans! 

 

 

It has been a long 18 months for BTS fans. But the wait is finally over. Jin has just completed his military service and will return to the group. Mandatory military service in South Korea can sometimes put a wrinkle in a group’s trajectory and chemistry in ways that musical groups in other countries don’t have to deal with. But BTS has handled this very well and has become even more popular than before. And now with Jin back, the group is about to get even stronger!
