In celebration of PENTAGON’s 10-year anniversary, seven of the original nine members have revealed plans to return with new music and a tour.

On July 21, the group’s agency NAKED confirmed the news in an official statement: "To mark the 10th anniversary since their debut, PENTAGON will release a new song for the first time in three years and embark on a tour. Starting with this 10th anniversary project, PENTAGON will proceed as a seven-member unit composed of Jinho, Hui, Hongseok, Shinwon, Yeo One, Kino and Wooseok.”

PENTAGON is a veteran group within the K-pop industry, having debuted under CUBE Entertainment in 2016 as the result of the Mnet survival show Pentagon Maker. Their discography consists of two studio albums, eighteen mini albums and nineteen singles across both Korean and Japanese releases. PENTAGON are best known for “빛나리 (Shine),” which became a sleeper hit in Korea – despite low initial sales, the song later received greater attention and reached number six on the Billboard World Digital Songs chart.

The group’s most recent single, “With UNIVERSE,” was released in October 2023. It was promoted as a final project before the members paused group activities to focus on their individual careers. Currently, Wooseok is in the midst of promotions for his new double-single TALKIE, while Kino will soon visit Brazil for his 2026 World Tour [FREE KINO].

This single and a potential tour also come as the first series of group activities for PENTAGON since the expiry of several of the members’ exclusive contracts with CUBE, with Yeo One, Kino, Wooseok and Hongseok leaving the agency in 2023 and Jinho following in 2025. However, the group did not announce a disbandment, and are now managed as a collective under NAKED alongside individual ambitions. Now, this promise of a future return comes to fruition.
