ONEW gave fans a special pre-release treat

Lee Jin-ki, best known by his artist mononym ONEW, dropped a special video performance of his new single “MonTuesWedThursFriSatSun” over the weekend. Quirkily shot on a single set piece, it features the SHINee leader singing into a wireless microphone under a spotlight in what looks to be a home office.

 

The opening five or six seconds had me checking my phone volume to make sure the sound was on. That absolute, dead silence before the first reveal was genuinely thrilling. The remainder of the song didn’t disappoint.

 

 

“MonTuesWedThursFriSatSun” is part of ONEW’s upcoming EP, which is entitled FLOW. This is his first record under a new management company. ONEW left SM Entertainment after his contract expired in March of 2024. He recently signed with Griffin Entertainment for his solo material, while still staying tied to SM via SHINee. 

 

 

FLOW is notable for being a major release after a tumultuous back half of 2023. ONEW had to sit out on much of SHINee’s world tour (especially the Japanese dates) and promotions for their eighth studio album due to health issues. We’re happy to have him back in a much fuller capacity and wish him all the best on this new chapter.
