On September 1, ONECEAD Entertainment announced that their project boy group MODYSSEY will hold their first comeback in October.

A title card was posted on the group’s social media accounts, revealing the album name 2.Multitude: How We Bloom and the intention of an October 2026 release. While the white text and black background do not give much away, the typography features a floral accent and suggests that the idea of blooming and growth may act as a foundation for the concept.

The seven-member group was formed in December 2025 as a result of the survival show PLANET C: HOME RACE, the Chinese spin-off of Mnet’s Boys II Planet. In April 2026, four months after the show’s conclusion, MODYSSEY debuted with the first mini album 1. Got Hooked: An Addictive Symphony.

That debut release was especially remarkable. With 302,604 copies, 1. Got Hooked: An Addictive Symphony achieved the second-highest first-week sales for any K-pop debut in 2026. In first place is AND2BLE, a boy group consisting of former members of ZEROBASEONE and EVNNE who have already debuted previously; MODYSSEY’s debut stands out without the backing of past experience.

Additionally, the title track of the debut album, “HOOK,” garnered attention due to its credits. The song was written by 3RACHA, Stray Kids’ songwriter-producer trio of Bang Chan, Changbin and HAN.

While MODYSSEY’s debut was a success, their first comeback will indicate whether that success will remain consistent as the group moves further away from PLANET C: HOME RACE and towards becoming an established, non-project artist. With further details surrounding the tracklist not yet unveiled, they also may not have the benefit of curiosity spurred by the involvement of other prominent names like that of 3RACHA this time around.

An official release date is yet to be announced, but it is expected soon in advance of October.
