MIRAE Announces Disbandment After Three-Year Journey

The boy group MIRAE, under DSP Media, is disbanding after three years in the music industry. On July 9 KST, DSP Media revealed that the members have decided to end their group activities following extensive discussions and mutual agreement.
In heartfelt handwritten notes shared on their official social media platforms, the members bid farewell to their fans. Leader Lee Junhyuk expressed his appreciation, "I learned a lot thanks to NOW during my time with MIRAE and am grateful for the unforgettable moments we created together” he wrote.
Son Dongpyo will continue his solo endeavors under DSP Media. He shared, "Honestly, there were many moments when I felt broken and uncertain. But even during those times, we were always together, walking alongside our fans, learning how to stand back up. Please watch over us as we each pursue our dreams."
MIRAE debuted in March 2021 with the EP KILLA. They faced high expectations right off the bat. Those expectations were never quite met, however. Right now they only have two tracks that crossed 2 million streams on Spotify and only have 34 thousand monthly listeners. Although extremely talented, the group could never quite get their footing. We wish everyone the best as they go their separate ways.
