THEBLACKLABEL has announced that their rising girl group MEOVV are set to release the new single album GO HARD on October 12, 2026.
Two concept images were shared on MEOVV’s official social media accounts on October 1, which see the five members posing on a rooftop with a city skyline in the background. Their outfits are edgy, with leather jackets, heeled boots, fur, and a largely dark colour scheme. This styling is comparable to the even darker themes of previous concept photos released for the group’s second EP BITE NOW, reinforcing their visual identity.
Alongside the images, THEBLACKLABEL have also unveiled the single album’s cover, which depicts a shattering chain engraved with the title GO HARD. No further information regarding the release has been shared at present, but a pre-save link is available for global music platforms, and pre-orders for six differently coloured physical copies are now live on the websites of various retailers.
GO HARD will be MEOVV’s first single album in their two-year career. MEOVV celebrated their second anniversary in early September, and in that time, they have built up a strong fanbase; their second mini album BITE NOW, which is their most recent project, racked up over 300,000 sales within its first week back in June this year. That is an increase on their already impressive debut, which saw 255,000 copies sold in its first week due to the virality of the pre-release track “HANDS UP.”
Only four months on, the group are returning off the back of the success of BITE NOW and their anniversary celebrations. The frequency of their releases and promotional periods are ramping up as a result of their success, and with the intention to push the group to new heights.
Recent performances over the summer at several university showcases in Korea will hope to boost their popularity domestically, alongside their growing success in the U.S. as a result of this year’s appearance at KCON LA. The latter highlights their particular international appeal – U.S.-born members Gawon and Ella, as well as a partnership with American label Capitol Records, prompted an early debut in the U.S. just a year on from their debut, and allowed MEOVV to stand out in the Western market.
With their consistency in styling and their sleek, hip-hop-infused pop sound, the group are building a recognisable image. If GO HARD remains consistent in both areas, that upward trajectory is expected to continue.
