LIM KIM, one of Korea’s most fearless genre-bending artists, has signed exclusively with Universal Music Korea. Known for a voice that refuses convention and visuals that demand attention, she has spent more than a decade reshaping the country’s music and fashion landscape — and now she’s poised for her most ambitious chapter yet.

First emerging in 2011 as one half of Togeworl on Superstar K3, where the duo reached the Top 3, LIM KIM made her solo debut two years later with A Voice. The title track “All Right” hit No. 1 and earned her Rookie of the Year honours at the Golden Disc Awards, Melon Music Awards, and Gaon Chart K-POP Awards. By 2019, she had fully reinvented herself with “SAL-KI” and the GENERASIAN EP – a daring blend of electronic and hip-hop that interrogated East Asian female identity and went on to win Best Dance & Electronic Album and Song at the Korean Music Awards.

Her work has since found fresh life on global stages, with GENERASIAN cuts “YELLOW” and “YO-SOUL” used as mission tracks on Street Woman Fighter 2, choreographed by 1MILLION Dance Studio, who also crafted the moves for her 2024 single “ULT (궁).” Outside of music, LIM KIM has become a style force, fronting campaigns for HERA, and making her presence felt at events for DIOR, WOOALONG, and Samsung BESPOKE.

“LIM KIM has always brought a fresh perspective to the music scene with her unique voice and creative flair. We’re thrilled to collaborate with her on the next chapter of her artistic journey, in Korea and beyond,” says Calvin Wong, CEO of Universal Music Group Southeast Asia and Korea, & SVP of Asia.

“I’m excited to embark on a new chapter with Universal Music,” adds LIM KIM. “I look forward to sharing music that resonates deeply, crafted with my own unique voice and rhythm.”

She now joins Universal Music Korea’s line-up alongside DEAN, HEYOON, Okasian, and Bryan Chase – a move that sets the stage for an even more expansive, boundary-pushing phase in her career.
