K-pop has found itself a new place to make an entrance, and this one comes with considerably more horsepower. At last weekend’s 2026 Singapore Grand Prix, the Marina Bay Street Circuit welcomed a K-pop lineup that could have easily doubled as the world’s best music festival line-up.
Stray Kids' FELIX and BANG CHAN, TWICE's TZUYU, IVE's WONYOUNG, GOT7's BAMBAM, Girls' Generation's HYOYEON, SHINee's MINHO, 2NE1's DARA, MEOVV and CORTIS were among the stars making appearances across the race weekend. Between Ferrari garages, fashion alliances and grid-ready wardrobes, Singapore offered a particularly interesting glimpse into the growing relationship between K-pop, fashion, and Formula 1.
FELIX may have spent the previous week sitting front row at Louis Vuitton's Paris Fashion Week show, but Singapore supplied a different kind of luxury experience. The Stray Kids member joined Ferrari during race weekend, meeting Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc and making an appearance in the paddock. His outfit traded the expected racing merchandise for a sleek black leather jacket and white tank top option, which was swapped with strong-shouldered red outerwear mid-race. Whether surrounded by Pharrell Williams’ runway looks or Ferrari's signature red, FELIX always brings the same polished approach to dressing.
BANG CHAN took a more understated route. The Stray Kids leader made heads turn on the paddock while supporting Aston Martin Aramco Formula One’s new Breitling activation. Sporting a fresh dial on his wrist, BANG CHAN’s all-black outfit, built around a dark jacket and trousers, leaned into the understated uniform of the modern paddock.
TWICE's TZUYU took team dressing seriously in Williams’ blue. Appearing as a Williams Racing guest, she paired a team-branded varsity jacket with black shorts and tall boots. The combination brought together the oversized proportions of collegiate sportswear and the sharper silhouette of K-pop stage styling. TZUYU's relationship with Williams extends into the team's collaboration with ‘DAN DA DAN’, for which she is confirmed to contribute an official theme song. As a result, Japanese animation, British motorsport and Korean pop are brought together through a fashion-friendly racing partnership.
IVE's WONYOUNG approached the weekend through her Tommy Jeans ambassadorship shortly after gracing the front row of Jonathan Anderson’s Dior. Two weeks later, she landed at the Tommy Hilfiger x Cadillac Formula 1 activation in Singapore, where American prep met an unlikely match in motorsport. Her fashion identity has always balanced polished femininity with effortless desirability. For Tommy Hilfiger, connecting that influence with Cadillac's Formula 1 ambitions introduces racing culture to an audience that might look closer at WONYOUNG’s outfit than at Max Verstappen’s podium win.
The rest of K-pop joined the grid between Mercedes and Red Bull. GOT7's BAMBAM joined the adidas Thailand x Mercedes-AMG Petronas collaboration, appearing in black team-inspired apparel alongside championship leader Kimi Antonelli. His look embraced the now-classic sponsor-covered motorsport team shirt. Once associated primarily with mechanics, drivers and dedicated racing fans, branded teamwear is now a staple on and off the grid – and the same goes amongst K-pop idols.
Girls' Generation's HYOYEON brought a different energy to the weekend. The singer and DJ appeared in a cropped 2026 racing tee and black buttoned trousers, posing alongside Max Verstappen with the pole-position trophy. While continuing to promote her alliance with Tommy Hilfiger, she quickly changed into the brand’s collaborative apparel with Cadillac F1 beside the racetrack. Finally, YOYEON also brought her undeniable sound to the Singapore Grand Prix and performed as DJ HYO at the circuit's Waterfront stage.
CNBLUE's JUNG YONG-HWA also appeared during the weekend's Tommy Hilfiger x Cadillac F1 festivities, while 2NE1's DARA was photographed with Racing Bulls drivers Liam Lawson and Arvid Lindblad and SHINee's MINHO was spotted enjoying the racing festivities. This year, K-pop was spread across the Grand Prix's entire cultural ecosystem.
CORTIS made their Singapore performance debut at the Padang Stage on Friday, delivering an energetic set before entering the Red Bull Racing garage in their signature loud styling. MEOVV, meanwhile, brought all five members into Ferrari. Their coordinated-but-individual looks combined burgundy, brown, black and red, creating a palette that felt naturally connected to the Italian scuderia.
The most interesting thing about Singapore wasn't how many idols showed up, but how differently they participated. FELIX entered Ferrari's world, BANG CHAN represented the intersection of watchmaking and Aston Martin, TZUYU connected Williams with anime and music, WONYOUNG brought her Tommy Hilfiger influence onto Cadillac's grid spot, BAMBAM embodied the growing appeal of Mercedes teamwear, while CORTIS and HYOYEON brought actual performances to the circuit.
The 2026 Singapore Grand Prix demonstrated that Formula 1 no longer has to choose between being a sporting competition and a cultural spectacle, and K-pop is helping define the current era of motorsport away from the checkered flag. The cars still determine who wins the race, but increasingly, K-pop idols are choosing who pays attention.
