Korean RnB artist JUNNY reflects laid-back yet captivating style in concept photos for ‘dopamine’
By Nandini Iyengar

JUNNY is one of the most creative K-RnB musicians. This young musician is well-noted for his songs that hold a deeper meaning and yet show an ease that is second to none. Fans of the artist had been waiting for him to release new music since his first full-length album blanc. It took him about two years, but JUNNY is finally back with new music with the EP dopamine.

JUNNY is a Korean-Canadian musician who works majorly in the RnB and hip-hop genres. After finding his passion in music, JUNNY moved back to Korea from Canada, at the age of 23. He went to produce his own music and also collaborated with artists like IU, Jay B, SUHO, BAEKHYUN, KAI as a feature artist or a songwriter-composer.

In the concept photos for this comeback, we see JUNNY dressed in a white shirt and black tie with a matching black-and-white thick jacket over it. He has freckles over his face and he is looking straight at the camera with a challenging look in his eye. Other album art for the EP consists of a graphic mood board of different people in different poses, pasted over a gray background. The album’s title art is also a thing to note. The word ‘dopamine’ fades on the right and the left, indicating the start, peak and end of a dopamine rush.
For “Rush,” the title track of this EP, JUNNY collaborated with BOBBY. The song is akin to JUNNY’s previous releases, relying on an RnB score and a laid-back attitude in the vocals that is true blue JUNNY-coded. JUNNY is set to tour North America as a part of his upcoming 10-city concert tour. He will be playing alongside DAUL, a Seoul-based DJ and producer.
