K-pop's hottest girl group aespa redefine "Rich Man" with bold new mini album
The unstoppable multi-million-selling quartet are set for a big return next month
"Rich Man" - The 6th Mini Album is out on 5 September
aespa is set to reinforce exactly why they are the leading K-pop girl group of their generation with an empowering new statement for their forthcoming release. Today, the unstoppable multi-million-selling quartet announces “Rich Man”, their sixth mini album, is set for release on 5 September via SM Entertainment.
The album hears the KARINA, GISELLE, WINTER and NINGNING redefine the concept of a ‘Rich Man’ – not as a symbol of material wealth but as their own definition, powered by their unique energy and strength. The intro video, featuring a 3D-rendered guitar graphic offers a glimpse into the album’s visual concept while delivering a striking slogan: “I am enough as I am. I am a ‘Rich Man’”.
Following aespa’s critically-lauded triple mega-hits in 2024 with ‘Supernova’, ‘Armageddon’ and ‘Whiplash’ – all eyes are on the group’s next move.
“Rich Man” - The 6th Mini Album follows up aespa’s searing summer single, ‘Dirty Work’ – which amassed over 1.01 million in pre-orders and debuted at No. 5 on Billboard’s Global 200 chart and No.2 on Billboard’s Global Excluding US chart, marking the group’s highest ranks on the respective charts.
2025 continues to mount up many firsts for this groundbreaking quartet. After scooping ‘Group of The Year’ at Billboard’s Women in Music Awards and making history as the first K-pop girl group to headline the biggest music festival on the African continent, Mawazine; aespa is set to kick off their third tour “2025 aespa LIVE TOUR - SYNK : aeXIS LINE” at the end of this month with three nights at Seoul’s KSPO Dome. In March, aespa played their second sold-out UK arena show as part of their biggest European trek yet, garnering rave reviews from The London Standard: “aespa don’t spare the maximalist fun at their spectacular London show… their larger-than-life pop is designed to make you feel like you can take on the world”.
