JISOO To Release New Digital Single “ADDICTED”
by Isabel Miller

JISOO, soloist and member of BLACKPINK, has announced the October 30 release of a new single titled “ADDICTED.”
A short video was shared on social media, introducing the single. Against a purple, stormy sky, lightning bursts to form a heart-shaped graphic as “ADDICTED” appears illuminated in backlit, metallic lettering. The same graphic is available to view on JISOO’s website, this time with the option of interaction, allowing viewers to tilt the text with their cursor. On the website is also a countdown to the release, and pre-saves links for the single on multiple platforms including Spotify and YouTube Music.
The first teaser image for the single has also been shared, presenting JISOO with a new look in the form of bangs. She peeks behind a glittering curtain, “ADDICTED” written upon it in rhinestones, and the sharp black and silver colouring contrasts every element.
“ADDICTED” will be JISOO’s second solo release in quick succession. On September 4, 2026, she released the haunting single “CLICK.” Though lyrically it follows a romantic narrative, the song holds an airy, otherworldly tone and its music video emphasises this aspect as it showcases animatronics coming to life in an abandoned circus. “CLICK” was JISOO’s first solo release since the February 2025 EP AMORTAGE, and received great attention as a result; it charted in the U.S., the UK, and multiple countries across Asia including South Korea.

A month later, JISOO returns with “ADDICTED.” This sequence of singles suggests that we may see more content from the soloist, as she has not been this active individually since that 2025 EP. Though her agency BLISSOO has not explicitly indicated that a more substantial album release is planned, there certainly is a possibility that the news will follow soon.
Not only that, but “CLICK” and “ADDICTED” seem connected in tone, forming a series. “CLICK” held a romantic narrative lyrically, and the title “ADDICTED” and heart shaped teaser indicates that this new single will expand on the theme. “CLICK” put forward a dark, haunting feeling both sonically and visually, and the stormy setting and spiky, metallic typography of “ADDICTED” alongside JISOO’s position creeping behind the curtain creates a similar spooky atmosphere. The release date of “ADDICTED” also falls a day before Halloween, emphasising this darker approach.
All four of BLACKPINK’s members have released music in recent weeks. JENNIE released the EP Fallen Angel on August 28, ROSÉ released the single “new trick” on September 18, and LISA released her EP PRESS PLAY on October 23. As each project stacks up, their release dates one after the other, fans of BLACKPINK and their various solo endeavours are being spoiled with new music
Additionally, with several years falling between some of these new releases and the members’ previous solo projects, each indicate that these comebacks won’t be short-lived – BLACKPINK have made their return to the industry as soloists and are likely planning to build their discographies going forwards.
More information about JISOO’s new single, “ADDICTED,” is expected over the next few days prior to November 30, 2026.
