IVE Collaborate with Tiger JK and Alawn for Surprise “Looks Can Kill” Remix
by Isabel Miller

IVE have surprised fans with the release of a new remix of “Looks Can Kill,” the group’s latest title track, produced by Alawn and featuring Tiger JK.
The new track is called “Looks Can Kill (Alawn Remix) (feat. Tiger JK),” and was released shortly after it was announced on October 30, 2026. It takes the bright, electronic dance-pop original and lowers the tone with a pounding bassline, adding a verse from Tiger JK.

Alawn, the creator of the remix, is a multi-platinum producer with over 50 Billboard number one chart entries to his name. He is regarded as one of the most in-demand producers/writers globally and especially within the K-pop genre, holding credits with Stray Kids, IVE, NCT 127, NCT DREAM, WayV, ITZY, TWICE, NMIXX, LE SSERAFIM, and more. His previous work with IVE specifically includes hits like “LOVE DIVE,” “After LIKE,” “Baddie,” and “ELEVEN,” and he has an extensive list of credits with the group on both their Korean and Japanese discographies. As a result, the appearance of his name on a new remix of “Looks Can Kill” has been well-received by IVE’s fans.
Tiger JK, featured on the Alawn remix, is a leading artist in the Korean hip-hop scene. He is widely regarded as one of the pioneering figures of the genre as part of the influential group Drunken Tiger, and many of his songs became defining classics within the South Korean mainstream. In regards to K-pop, he has collaborated with Stray Kids (“TOPLINE”) and RM of BTS (“Timeless”) – now adding IVE to the list. To have Tiger JK feature on a K-pop song is a rare occasion and places IVE amongst some of the most popular artists in the industry. It reflects their own popularity, as well as allowing them to contribute to the growing trend of K-hip-hop, K-pop hybridity.
“Looks Can Kill” was released on October 19 as the pre-release single and title track of IVE’s fifth mini album Looks Can Kill and debuted as number 10 on the circle Digital Chart to become the group’s 14th top 10 hit. It has since climbed to number six on the MelOn Daily Chart, rising steadily following a series of dance challenges with other popular idols and other promotional material that leverages their “Girl Hero” theme. As the song continues to rise four days later, this remix should provide even more visibility for the release to give it an additional boost with the help of some big names.
The original version of “Looks Can Kill” can be found on the Looks Can Kill mini album, and “Looks Can Kill (Alawn Remix) (feat. Tiger JK)” is also now available on global streaming platforms.
