ILLIT Shares Excitement for New Album and Fresh Vibes of “Cherish (My Love)”

The rising K-pop group ILLIT (Yunah, Minju, Moka, Wonhee, Iroha) has shared their enthusiasm for their upcoming mini-album and its title track, “Cherish (My Love),” hinting at a fresh new vibe that contrasts with their debut single, “Magnetic.” During a special episode of their self-produced show Night of ILLIT, released on October 15 KST via their official YouTube channel and Weverse, the members reflected on their musical growth and the different direction of their new track.

Night of ILLIT is a unique show where the members come together to relax and share their personal interests, offering fans a glimpse into their personalities and bond. In the latest episode, titled "A Special Night of ILLIT," the girls took a trip to bond before their highly anticipated comeback. The episode showcased playful moments, like holding up a banner that read, "Let’s Make Mini Album 2 a Hit," alongside candid conversations that revealed their excitement and nervousness leading up to the release.

Among the members, Iroha was particularly struck by the change in sound, commenting, “It’s so different from “Magnetic” that I was a bit surprised, but the more we practiced, the more I liked it.” Her remarks suggest that the group is branching out creatively, experimenting with a new style that will show fans a different side of ILLIT. Yunah echoed this sentiment, adding, “I think people will realize that we’re not just about ‘Magnetic’ when they see our new look.”

With the group’s second mini-album on the horizon, ILLIT fans are eager to see how the group’s sound and image have evolved.
