To celebrate IDID’s official debut, we caught up with each member individually.

First up is IDID’s leader, Jang Yonghoon – who carries both the weight of guiding the group and the lightness of being its steady anchor. Known as the group’s visual, he’s equally focused on carving out his own voice as a musician and frontman. Off stage, he’s a “grilling master” with a specialty in pork belly, but on stage, his ENTJ boldness takes over — transforming nerves into fiery focus when the spotlight hits.

1. As leader, what does “I did it” mean to you personally, and how do you want to guide the group under that message?

To me, “I did it” means that no matter how anxious or fearful something may feel, we’ll overcome it and make it happen. No matter what challenges we face, IDID as a team will make it through together. We won’t stop and we’ll keep giving our best as we move forward together.

2. People call you the “visual” of IDID — how do you make sure your musical and leadership roles shine through as well?

I’m constantly working and thinking of ways to find my own voice within our team. I try to reflect on myself and the team so I can help guide IDID in the right direction.

3. You’ve been described as the “grilling master” — what’s one dish you’d cook for the members to celebrate debut?

I’d definitely grill my specialty, pork belly, for everyone if I get a chance.

4. What moment during I did it.’s preparation made you most proud as a leader?

Before we even debuted, performing on stages like KCON LA and Gayo Daejeon felt almost impossible. But when we pulled it off and came down from the stage, I was so happy and incredibly proud of our team as their leader.

5. ENTJs are known for boldness — where does that side of you show most in performances?

When I’m about to perform on a big stage, I would take one deep breath, then all the nerves and anxiety would disappear. I can feel myself fully immersed in the fiery energy of the moment, completely focused on the performance.
